What can I write about my experience with a Magirus-Deutz ??
First of all >> what type of truck is it ?? Anybody knows ??
It’s a Magirus truck with a Deutz motor built 1963 , 4wheel-drive, the motor is a 4cylinder in line , on the camp we had build a gasoline-tank which we placed in the lenght of the truck from the cabin to the poop , you can see on the camppics that we built-in a second floor so we had space to hide luggage and water > 20 x 20ltr. waterjerrycans and 2000liter gasoil .
 Perfect truck no doubt about that , I loved that truck , sometimes I had to go so steep in the fat mud and in second/HighGearing accelerator all down ,. the whole thing started to tremble and we drove up , no problem , we never got stuck , in 1990 we left  Nairobi/Kenya to drive to Rotterdam/Holland 10.000km.........the only thing was.........the motor was not strong enough , and in Niger where it’s real hot and never rains....... a piece of in inletvalve broke off by the extreme heat and I bought a new Deutz valve in Agadez , in 3 days , there are several Magirus-Deutz trucks in Africa. This truck always felt very solid and  I should go again with a Magirus-Deutz to Africa , it’s so full of beauty......
